VICTORIAN CURRICULUM

One of our key focuses at Year 10 is to provide all students with opportunities to learn, explore their curiosity and enhance their understanding by providing a range of core and elective subject options. All Year 10 students will develop their capacity to become a stronger more informed learner whilst also targeting personal growth in literacy and numeracy. All students will be given the opportunity for increasing specialisation by supporting their interests in particular learning areas. Students are provided individual support to make choices in preparation for their later years of schooling and for transition to employment, further training or tertiary pathways.

The Victorian Curriculum F–10 sets out a single, coherent and comprehensive set of content descriptions and associated achievement standards to enable teachers to plan, monitor, assess and report on the learning achievement of every student. Victorian government schools are required to use the Victorian Curriculum F-10.

The Victorian Curriculum F–10 sets out what every student should learn during their first eleven years of schooling. The curriculum is the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development and active and informed citizenship.
