Pastoral Care

In 2018 the College implemented it’s ‘Tarneit Time’ curriculum, a compulsory pastoral care program for all Tarneit Senior College students. In 2022, the program was renamed 'Pastoral Care' which now occurs daily to improve student connections with their Pastoral Care teacher.

The course aims to develop the essential skills that will prepare our students for the post-school world by placing emphasis on critical thinking skills through inquiry-based discovery, teamwork skills through collaborative learning, organisation skills through self-directed learning, literacy and numeracy skills through authentic projects.

The program also features elements of the Respectful Relationships curriculum, volunteer opportunities within the community and targeted support for pathway endeavours, including SEAs applications.
