OUR HISTORY

Tarneit Senior College opened in 2012 and is located in a developing area of Wyndham, approximately 25 kilometres from Melbourne CBD.  Our humble beginnings  started with 10 staff and 67 students and now in our 14th year has grown to over 1100 students and 130 staff.

The foundation years of the College  focussed upon building social capital, creating structures and practices, purchasing resources and establishing staff professional learning teams. The college is now established, but continued growth and development awaits. Stage 1 of the Paddock Development is now complete with the addition of two basketball courts, cricket pitches and nets,  and surrounding ground improvements.

A significant percentage of our enrolments are also new arrivals to the greater Tarneit community. Rapid growth is predicted for both the suburb and school over the next 5 to 10 years. It is projected that the college’s peak enrolment will be in excess of 2000 students. Our community is a multi-cultural one.
