You will have the chance to meet our staff and connect as a community. Bookings are made through your Compass Parent Portal via https://tarneitsc-vic.compass.education. You can call our office to assist you with the process if required. We will also have a staff member supporting parents with any Compass Parent Portal enquiries on the night.

There are no formal classes for students on this day.

Supports and activities throughout the day includes:

  • Band and performances in Auditorium

  • Learning displays around the College

  • Dance Extravaganza performances in Stadium

  • BBQ and platters for all students and parents/guardians

  • Compass Support and set up for parents

  • ICT support

  • Administration support - payments and Compass Parent Portal enquiries

  • Interpreters in a range of languages

This event is an important part of developing a strong connection with the college and your child's education. It gives us the opportunity to emphasise that we are working together to ensure your child can achieve their personal best. It is vitally important that all parents make the effort to attend and speak with as many of your child’s teachers as possible, while also engaging with other supports and activities throughout the day.

Your child will have received their Engagement Progress Report recently. This gives you an indication of their current progress at school and will be referred to as a basis for your discussion with teachers. You can access this report through our Parent Portal on Compass.

All students are expected to attend interviews with you and reflect on conversations with their teachers.

In all Victorian government schools, parents, carers and other adult visitors who enter school buildings must be able to show evidence of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid medical exemption.

Parents, carers and other adult visitors who do not meet this requirement can email the relevant teachers to organise alternate arrangements.
